The activities featured in The Inspire! Youth Series software help teach teambuilding, critical thinking, and problem solving using experiential learning techniques—areas that any leader needs to be proficient in. Student leadership coordinators will be able to learn how to facilitate interactive activities that emphasize cooperative problem solving and collaborative group development. Many activities featured in The Inspire! Youth Series software encourage participants to think outside the box, a skill necessitated by leaders. Using activities such as “Team Handcuffs,” from the Ice Breakers and Openers software, begins with partners “handcuffed” together with rope, and requires individuals to separate without untying themselves. This not only forces participants to cooperate and collaborate with one another, but it also sets the tone for the rest of the meeting, encouraging individuals to be creative in their approaches to problem solving. |
